ATLANTA, GA (March 9, 2018) – Peak Campus, one of the nation’s leading student housing operators and developers, announced today that the company’s philanthropic program, Peak Cares, is now a national partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

At Peak Campus the first core value is “People Matter Most.”  That is true not only for the associates it employs, the clients it partners with, and residents that are housed, but also the local neighborhoods it has the pleasure of serving.  Like Peak Campus, RMHC focuses on providing homes, but of a very special kind. The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families who need it most, and since 1979, the Atlanta RMHC have served more than 48,000 families with ill and injured children receiving medical care nearby. Their houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal, or where they will lay their head at night to rest.

Peak Cares is focused on executing strategic initiatives that give back to RMHC through donations, volunteering, and more each year.  Peak Campus and RMHC believe that when a child is hospitalized, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.  Learn more about the Peak Campus RMHC Partnership in its launch announcement video:

Peak Campus is proud to support organizations like RMHC and offer employees the opportunity to give back to our communities through Peak Cares.  Whether it is volunteering at a Ronald McDonald House, supporting a local charity, or fundraising for monetary donations, Peak encourages each of its employees to participate in giving back to the communities in which they serve.  To further encourage efforts, Peak Campus hosts a National Day of Service whereby all properties and the home office donate a workday to a local organization.

Furthermore, Peak Campus associates recently made personal donations that were matched by Peak and presented to Ronald McDonald House Charities in January 2018.  This money will be used to adopt a room in the name of Peak Campus and to support families who stay at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses.  Learn more or make a donation:

“We are thrilled to announce this special partnership with RMHC and to continue to support local communities and families in need around the country,” said Jennifer Hill, Chief People Officer and General Counsel at Peak Campus.  “At Peak, we believe ‘People Matter Most’ and our spirit of service both in and outside of the office is a critical part of our culture of caring.  I am honored to be a part of a company that recognizes home is where the heart is.”

Since 1974, RMHC has created programs that strengthen families during difficult times. RMHC provides vital resources and compassionate care to children and their families being served by leading hospitals worldwide. Core RMHC programs — Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, and Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles — provide access to health care and enable family-centered care. RMHC has helped lessen the burden for more than 5.5 million families in 2016.
